Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to 212 Collective, a London-based vintage clothing and streetwear store specialising in designer vintage, luxury vintage, archive fashion, vintage streetwear and unique pre-owned clothing.
We have physical stores in Brick Lane and Covent Garden, London, as well as an online store shipping vintage clothing and designer pieces to customers across the UK, USA and worldwide.
What is 212 Collective?
212 Collective is an independent London vintage clothing and streetwear retailer. We specialise in carefully selected designer vintage, vintage streetwear, archive pieces, Y2K fashion, luxury pre-owned clothing and one-of-a-kind garments.
Our collection is constantly changing, with individual pieces sourced from different suppliers, collectors and customers. Because vintage is made up of unique pieces, many of the items we sell are available only once.
You can shop 212 Collective online or visit us in person at our Brick Lane and Covent Garden stores in London.
What type of vintage clothing do you sell?
Our collection covers a wide range of vintage and pre-owned fashion, including:
- Designer vintage clothing
- Luxury vintage
- Vintage streetwear
- Archive fashion
- Y2K clothing
- Vintage jackets and coats
- Vintage T-shirts
- Vintage sweatshirts and hoodies
- Vintage knitwear
- Jeans and trousers
- Football shirts
- Accessories and footwear
We regularly source pieces from different eras, styles and brands, meaning our online and physical collections are always changing.
Do you sell authentic designer clothing?
Yes. Authenticity is extremely important to us.
Every designer item is individually reviewed by our team before being listed for sale. We do not knowingly sell counterfeit products.
We have been operating in the vintage and pre-owned fashion industry for years and take pride in carefully selecting the clothing and designer pieces that make it into our collection.
If you ever have a question about the authenticity or details of a particular item, please contact our team before purchasing and we will be happy to help wherever possible.
Where does 212 Collective source its clothing?
We work with a number of established suppliers and sourcing partners internationally, while maintaining control over the type and quality of clothing we bring into our collection.
We also purchase clothing directly from customers and private sellers.
Our team carefully selects what we receive rather than simply accepting whatever stock is available. This allows us to maintain the particular aesthetic and quality that 212 Collective is known for.
Why buy vintage clothing?
Vintage clothing offers something that modern mass-produced fashion often cannot: individuality.
Many vintage garments have distinctive designs, materials, cuts and details that are difficult to find in contemporary clothing. Buying pre-owned clothing also gives existing garments a longer life rather than requiring a completely new item to be produced.
For us, however, the biggest reason to buy vintage is simple — the clothes are good.
We believe vintage should be bought because you genuinely love the piece, whether that is a rare designer jacket, an old-school streetwear T-shirt, a unique Y2K garment or something you simply cannot find anywhere else.

Why are vintage items sometimes different from modern clothing?
Vintage clothing can vary considerably in sizing between brands, countries and decades.
A vintage size on the label may not correspond to the equivalent modern size.
For this reason, we provide measurements on our product listings wherever possible. We recommend comparing these measurements with a garment you already own before purchasing.
Are vintage clothes in perfect condition?
Vintage clothing has been previously owned and may show signs of age or wear.
We carefully inspect our items and aim to accurately describe any notable flaws, marks, fading, repairs or signs of wear in the product description.
Small imperfections can be part of what makes vintage clothing unique, but we always aim to give you an accurate representation of the condition before you purchase.
Why are many of your vintage items one-of-a-kind?
Unlike conventional fashion retailers, we don't manufacture large quantities of the same product.
Our vintage and pre-owned clothing is sourced as individual pieces or in limited quantities. This means that once a rare vintage jacket, designer piece or unique T-shirt has sold, it may not come back.
If you find something you love, we recommend purchasing it while it is available.
Do you buy vintage clothing from customers?
Yes. We are interested in purchasing selected vintage, designer and streetwear pieces.
If you have clothing you would like to sell to 212 Collective, please contact our team with details and photographs of the items you have available.
Where can I find your latest vintage pieces?
Our online store is updated regularly with new vintage clothing, designer pieces and streetwear.
You can also visit either of our London stores to discover pieces that may not be available online.
Follow 212 Collective on social media for new arrivals, rare finds, store updates and events.
